language:

common camp-language is english. it is possible to survive without, but it's far easier for everybody... you should speake SOME other language, though, at least a little bit. every year we also offer a crash-course in the language of the country we are in.

besides that : if you ever waited for a opportunity to change passive knowledge of a language (maybe exept swaheli, inuit, mandarin and a few others) into active talking, this is it!

costs:

costs differ according to where we go but are generally kept low due to big support by different provinces in italy, spain, germany and france. 270€ for people from western europe, 150€ for people from eastern europe.
travelling costs from western europe will be 220€, travelling from Eastern Europe 100€ at maximum.
if we get european funding by the Youth in Action program we will reimburse 70% of the travelling costs.

for 16 days all inclusive that's pretty cheap i'd say.

alcohol:

yes, we have a little bar where we sell beer, wine and non alcoholic drinks. we respect youth-protection laws and take care of our minors. getting drunk is possible but does not help getting up in the morning to do your workshops. we get up to offer the workshops so we expect you to participate. staying in bed with a hangover will not be accepted.

drugs:

what's illegal where people come from and what's illegal in the country the camp takes place, is illegal in the camp. we don't search for drugs among participants but should we notice consumption of illegal substances we will find adequat consequences.

insurance:

we provide a specific" illness-and-accident-insurance" for every participant.

workshops:

people are split up into different workshops such as: theatre, pantomime, dance, rock/pop music, photography and/or others. together the workshops prepare a final show for the end of the camp.

tents:

eventhough "camp" sounds like "camping" and therefore like sleeping in tents this is not the case. usually we sleep on halfway propper beds in classrooms of schools.
